The IP blocker enables you to deny access to your website based upon a source IP address, source IP range or domain name.

Block an IP address, range of IPs or a particular domain via konsoleH:

  1. Browse to konsoleH (http://myaccount.hetzner.co.za)
  2. Login with your Client number and Management password
  3. Select or search for a domain name in the ‘Hosting Service’ tab
  4. Select ‘Manage Services’ from the left-hand menu
  5. Select ‘Webserver Config’
  6. Click ‘IP Blocker’
  7. Enter the IP address (or part thereof to block the range) in the space provided
  8. Click ‘Add’

Examples:

  • a specific IP, enter the full IP address - e.g. 196.166.1.1
  • a range of IPs, enter a partial IP address - e.g. 196.166.1
  • a particular domain, enter a domain without the ‘www’ i.e. example.com
