Once your domain has been scheduled to transfer away from Hetzner, your new hosting provider will be responsible for submitting the transfer request.  They will provide you with the relevant information you’ll need to process the transfer.

Steps to transfer your domain to another hosting provider:

.co.za Transferring away:

  1. Browse to konsoleH (http://myaccount.hetzner.co.za)
  2. Login with your Customer number or email address and Management password
  3. Select or search for a domain name in the ‘Hosting Services’ tab
  4. Select ‘Manage Services’
  5. Select ‘Manage Terminations’ and click ‘Confirm’
  6. Select ‘Terminate hosting and transfer domain’ from the dropdown box
  7. Should you wish to respond to transfer tickets yourself, then select ‘Please ignore any transfer tickets, I will accept’
  8. Should you require Hetzner’s assistance then select ‘Please accept transfer tickets on my behalf’ and enter the email address of the registrar from which the update ticket will be sent and confirm this address again
  9. Select a reason for terminating your package from the dropdown list
  10. If ‘Other’ is selected, please provide your reasons before proceeding to the next screen
  11. Your transfer is confirmed and your domain is scheduled to transfer away from Hetzner’s servers within 30 days
  12. If you requested that Hetzner accept the transfer request, it will only be accepted if the request is submitted by the correct email address (as per point 8 above)

.com, .net, .info, .org, .biz Transferring away:

  1. Follow steps 1 - 5 of the co.za transfer process above
  2. Select ‘Terminate hosting and transfer domain’ from the dropdown box
  3. An Authorisation Code will be emailed to the admin contact of the domain; this code will be essential at a later stage to accept the transfer request
  4. Hetzner will unlock the domain at the registrar which will allow the transfer to progress
  5. Select a reason for terminating your package from the dropdown list
  6. If ‘Other’ is selected, please provide your reasons before proceeding to the next screen
  7. Your transfer is confirmed and is scheduled to transfer away from Hetzner’s servers within 30 days
  8. The email address will be verified to where the Authorisation Code has been sent

.org.za Transferring away:

  1. Contact .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) with your termination request; the email request must be sent from the authorised email address, informing Hetzner if the domain should be transferred or terminated
  2. Hetzner will accept the transfer request on your behalf

.co.uk Transferring away:

  1. Follow steps 1 - 5 of the co.za transfer process above
  2. Select ‘Terminate hosting and transfer domain’ from the dropdown box
  3. Select a reason for terminating your package from the dropdown list
  4. If ‘Other’ is selected, please provide your reasons before proceeding to the next screen
  5. Your transfer is confirmed and your domain is scheduled to transfer away from Hetzner’s servers within 30 days
  6. An email will be sent to the profile owner, requesting that the new hosing provider’s IPS TAG be sent to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)
  7. Once we’ve updated the IPS TAG with our registrar, your new hosting provider will be able to transfer the domain

.cc, .co, .mobi, .tv, .de and .eu Transferring away:

  1. Follow steps 1 - 5 of the co.za transfer process above
  2. Select ‘Terminate hosting and transfer domain’ from the dropdown box
  3. Select a reason for terminating your package from the dropdown list
  4. If ‘Other’ is selected, please provide your reasons before proceeding to the next screen
  5. Your transfer is confirmed and your domain is scheduled to transfer away from Hetzner’s servers within 30 days
  6. A Hetzner consultant will contact you with further instructions in order to proceed with the domain transfer

Important:

Ensure that you have a copy of your website content and email as it will be deleted from our servers 30 days after Hetzner has received your termination request.
