Custom CGI scripts can be installed on websites hosted on a Basic package or higher. A cgi-bin directory can be created in any subdirectory of the public_html directory (the entire public_html directory is CGI enabled). With your own cgi-bin directory, you can store custom CGI scripts that you have written yourself or found elsewhere on the Web.

It is customary to place CGI scripts in a cgi-bin / directory. ‘Cgi-sys’ is a reserved name and should therefore not be used for the directory in which your scripts are stored.
