A registrar is a company that has been licensed by ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) to register domain names for the public and has control over the granting of domains within certain Top Level Domains (TLD).

Hetzner currently works with UniForum SA, Internet Solutions, Cronon AG and Tucows to process domain name registrations.
