Our award winning proprietary control panel empowers customers to manage their hosting environment.
Take the tourMost registrars have a policy of ‘locking’ domain names to prevent unauthorised transfers. This is a protective measure for our customers in response to ICANN’s transfer policy. Domain locking prohibits certain changes to a domain. If a domain is locked, transfers and DNS modifications cannot be made until the domain is unlocked.
Without a ‘lock’ capability, registrars’ customers may suffer flagrant domain name theft and loss of their domain name. By default, the lock feature is enabled. On your request, we will unlock the domain at the registrar which will allow for the domain to be transferred away from Hetzner.
In addition, a transfer authorisation code is also required when transferring a domain name with the extensions .com, .net, .org, .info and .biz from one registrar to another. This provides an extra level of security for the domain name registration. You may need to contact Hetzner directly to obtain your domain’s Auth-Info code.
