The syntax used for configuring Iptables to route traffic correctly can become complicated. For this reason, the Ubuntu project has developed a program for Iptables called UFW, which simplifies the configuration of the firewall rules. Although UFW was developed for Ubuntu, it is supported by most Linux distributions.
