Why has Hetzner discontinued Frontpage Server Extensions? Print Email

You may already be aware that Microsoft Frontpage was discontinued as a product by Microsoft in 2006. For the following 3 years, Hetzner continued to offer support for the Frontpage Server Extensions to the benefit of the number of customers that still made use of this technology.

However, in order for us to retain our high technical standard across our entire customer base, Hetzner made the decision to no longer support websites that are developed in Microsoft Frontpage that require Frontpage Extensions. The main reason is that Microsoft no longer offers updates including security updates which could put our customers’ websites as well as our own infrastructure at risk.
