Clients that make use of a managed dedicated server with domains configured to have their emails hosted on an external hosting server are encouraged to disable local mail delivery on their Hetzner hosted server by following the steps below:
- Browse to konsoleH (http://myaccount.hetzner.co.za)
- Login with your Client number and Management password.
- Select or search for a domain name in the ‘Hosting Services’ tab.
- Click ‘Mail’ on the left-hand menu.
- Select ‘Enable/Disable Mail’ on the top left-hand side menu.
To ensure no email interruptions are experienced when disabling local mail delivery, it is recommended that you verify that the DNS MX records are pointing to an external host by making use of an online tool such as, MXToolBox.
