Should your TruServ™ server be configured to use our authoritative DNS servers for DNS queries, please ensure that you are making use of the recursive DNS servers below:

  • Data centre: Cape Town (cpt1)
    Recursive: dns1.cpt1.host-h.net
    IP Address: 196.7.147.46

  • Data centre: Cape Town (cpt2)
    Recursive: dns1.cpt2.host-h.net
    IP Address: 41.204.202.244

  • Data centre: Cape Town (cpt3)
    Recursive: dns1.cpt3.host-h.net
    IP Address: 197.221.12.8

  • Data centre: Johannesburg (jnb1)
    Recursive: dns1.jnb1.host-h.net
    IP Address: 196.22.142.222

  • Data centre: Johannesburg (jnb2)
    Recursive: dns1.jnb2.host-h.net
    IP Address: 41.203.18.183

Changes will need to be made in the relevant configuration files on your server, for example, using a Linux machine, please edit the resolv.conf file. Windows machines may be configured in the Advanced TCP/IP settings.

Please note:

  • Hetzner do not assist with the configuration on TruServ™ servers. If you require further assistance with dns configuration you will need to contact your system administrator.
  • If the detail is not added, the server will not find all information hosted on Hetzner DNS servers, resultng in the disruption of most web reliant applications.
