  • Instant account activation: there are no server migration costs or DNS co-ordination for Web Hosting packages already in the Volume Plan.
  • Flexibility: individual packages can be included or excluded from the Volume Plan at the click of a mouse via konsoleH™, allowing you to choose the most cost-effective environment for a particular website project.
  • Predictable traffic costs: Volume Plan customers benefit from the reduced risk of exposure to unanticipated traffic costs in South Africa as Web Hosting customers only pay for traffic associated to a specific domain.
  • The hosting industry has a mutual limitation of not being able to account for all traffic generated on a virtual Web Hosting platform.  All traffic can be summarily measured against an IP address.  However, when numerous hosted domains share a single IP address, the available software is not able to account for all traffic and where it originated from. This adds up to approximately 20% of traffic that is unaccounted for.
  • By contrast, dedicated hosting customers are charged for ALL traffic generated on their server.
  • Increased Uptime: individual hosting packages within the Volume Plan are likely to be distributed across Hetzner’s servers and evolving high availability structure, instead of residing on a single server.
  • Reduced barrier to entry: The economies of scale benefit offered by a Managed Dedicated server are now available within a Volume Plan but at a much lower cost. Once you resell a few hundred hosting accounts, a Managed Dedicated server may prove more cost-effective.
