Hetzner employs security and general web hosting processes that conform to international best practice standards.  We do not have ISO (International Organization for Standardization) certification.

In terms of data security protection, Hetzner provides:

• Tightly controlled super user access system
• Separation of hosting accounts on the same server
• Security related server software updates are applied timeously, taking the associated level of risk into account

Note:

A shared server hosting environment is not suitable for applications that require the highest levels of data security due to it being shared amongst multiple customers.  Our Managed Dedicated Server product offers greater protection in this regard (providing that you do not in turn use the server as a shared hosting server, e.g. Web hosting reseller).  For applications with critical security requirements, we recommend our CHS product or our TruServ™ product range.
