Customer Spotlight: Post Vision Technology
Post Vision Technology develops, markets and implements a project and portfolio management application known as Project Portfolio Office™ (PPO™). PPO™ is a locally developed web based software application that is used by companies for managing the delivery of their strategic objectives. PPO™ has been implemented by a number of organisations including First National Bank, the Department of Provincial and Local Government, Anglo Platinum and the Development Bank of South Africa.
Post Vision Technology started hosting their website and email with Hetzner in 2004. A year later it became apparent that they needed to provide potential clients with access to a full working version of the PPO™ application over the internet to assist with sales. Hetzner’s offering enabled them to do so; ‘This step has proved very successful in assisting the sales team and generating sales leads for the product,’ says CEO, Guy Jelley.
In 2006 Post Vision Technology released PPO™ version 2.0, enabling them to run multiple instances of the application on a single server. Following this milestone, the company launched their first Software as a Service (SaaS) application known as PPOLive™.
Post Vision Technology continues to focus on the development and support of the PPOLive™ application. By partnering with Hetzner, they’ve been able to maintain their focus on product development and support while Hetzner reliably provides the hosting and infrastructure requirements needed for their offering.
