Update your contact details now!
In order for Hetzner to communicate effectively with our clients, it is important that we have your correct contact details. It is for this reason that we encourage you to take a few minutes to update your contact details as well as your authoritative, billing and technical contacts via konsoleH.
Updating a contact
Should you wish to update a contact on your hosting portfolio, you can make use of the ‘Manage contacts’ tool in konsoleH. Use this tool to setup and maintain the list of additional contacts for your hosting portfolio.
Your contact portfolio is also used by Hetzner to verify whether a caller or emailer is authorised to receive the information or assistance he/she requests, thereby ensuring that valuable customer and account information is not given to an unauthorised person.
Customers can assign contacts under the following groups:
- Authoritative contacts: This contact is allowed access to ALL the information for a specific customer profile, i.e. billing details, client login details, banking details etc. He/she has the same level of authority as the Profile Owner and has the ability to add or remove additional contacts, place new orders and terminate services.
- Technical contacts: FTP and mailbox access is granted to this contact on a per domain basis. He/she may also request assistance with website and mailbox configuration, DNS updates, etc.
- Billing contacts: Invoices are sent to this contact. He/she is also allowed to change banking details.
*Note that the Profile Owner is listed separately from the above contacts in konsoleH. The Profile Owner is responsible for all payments of the domain(s) and/or server(s) listed under his/her account profile.
