Traffic over-usage charges reduced!
We are very pleased to announce a significant decrease in traffic over-usage charges*. As of 1 August 2009, we have cut our traffic price by 37% for Business Web Hosting customers, while our TruServ™ and Managed Dedicated customers save 44%!
Business Web Hosting
The traffic over-usage charge will decrease from R0.19 per MB to just R0.12 per MB.
TruServ™
The traffic over-usage charge will decrease from R0.09 per MB to just R0.05 per MB.
Managed Dedicated
The traffic over-usage charge will decrease from R0.09 per MB to just R0.05 per MB.
What about the additional traffic bundles previously offered with Managed Dedicated packages?
With the reduction in our traffic over-usage rate, Hetzner will no longer offer additional traffic bundles. Existing customers that previously opted to pre-purchase traffic bundles of 5 GB & 15 GB, will now simply be charged an over-usage cost should they exceed the 5 GB quota for our Managed Dedicated packages. By removing the pre-purchased traffic bundles, customers only pay for the additional traffic they consume within a given month whereas previously customers were charged R400 per month regardless of whether they used the full bundle value.
What if I’ve already paid in advance for my traffic bundle?
Hetzner will refund all customers who paid for their additional traffic bundle in advance. You can expect to see this refund on your next invoice.
