Domain Registration
A domain name is a name used to locate and display a website. A domain name is an easy to remember name that refers to an IP address. An IP address is an address written in dotted decimals (such as 196.7.164.2) that computers use to determine what website to display.

Encryption Certificates
A digital certificate is imposed on the SSL process and acts as an electronic passport, providing proof of identity. Digital certificates are issued directly by a trusted certificate issuing authority (eg. Thawte, Verisign). A Certification Authority (CA) verifies the authenticity of the information to be included in the certificate before it is issued.
